Final PE Post

Having PE or active learning as a linear course has given me the opportunity to learn about physicle fitness and getting outside and active all year. From the beginning of the year i was interested in how the highschool Pe system works and so far I love it. Ill admit that taking on some of the fitness activities and things like that were very intimidating at first but Ive learned to be comfortable with doing them and doing my best. Ive learned a lot about keeping fit and staying fit and Ive used it all to my advantage during breaks and long weekends as you can see from these photos.

Staying active in PE has really been getting me into trying new things, over the course of the year Ive done tae kwon do, long boarding, bike riding, snowboarding, snow shoeing, 5km runs, surfing, and many more new fun things that keep me active 24/7.

My favourite thing about PE would definitely be setting fitness records and goals and then beating them. Things like the beep test which at the beginning of the year i was at 10.5 and now my highest is 11.7. The most recent one we did which I personally like a lot because it was a huge learning process was the 30 minute run that taught us good pacing. I was able to get 6 solid laps at a good pace that I improved for better lap times going throughout it.

For the things I didn't like this year, there isn't much but the only thing that I would like to improve is working around the weight room which I'd like to learn about more for personal benefits.

I've loved PE this year, it is a fun simple hour of the day to keep us active and social doing different things everyday. Some kids may not like the sweat, but i believe it shows accomplishment.
And I also liked the way we are pushed to try harder, I thought that I was definitly getting better with doing my best towards the second semester as I did the workouts a lot more independently. I believe my work habits have shown that. In my mind I see my final grade as an A.

Mid-Term reflection #3

Since our last mid-term reflection I feel my physical drive and endurance has stayed the same so far as im still in the state of mind to continue pushing myself further and further...Ive continued to thrive through fitness days like the last community run we did Im beat my 24min record my 2 minutes, and the pond run I decided to run independantly, which ended up with me improving on pushing myself to continue running without walking during the run portions...Also during spring break I still continued to keep my activeness up to top level by bmxing and longboarding everyday everywhere I went, I went on a 5 day snowboarding trip to make up for my lost season, and just in all staying OUTSIDE in the sun .... I will indeed continue to work hard until june and keep up to date with my physical evidence, and so far throughout the semester I still believe im at the A student level.

interm report 03/06/13

I feel that for semester two I have started off with a great start, cause I am thriving to work harder and challenge myself. I've done better with the weight room training, because now Im looking more into what i should be doing to get to my
fitness goals as apposed to just doing every work out I can find. Theres nothing really challenging me but I do want to take the advice i got befor with encouraging others in PE. Things like choosing a workout partner that could use a little help. Doing this can also bring my fitness level up. Because of my punctuallity towards my PE class and having fun with it do, I think i'd deserve a G.
